After Beating A Toddler, Damian Stauffer Beat A Police Officer, Stole His Patrol Car, Crashed It, And He Still Wasn’t Done
Eau Claire, WI – Damian Stauffer, age 20, has been arrested after assaulting a three-year-old child, assaulting an Eau Claire Police Officer, then stealing and wrecking an Eau Claire patrol car.
According to WEAU, the incident occurred just after midnight Monday morning, in the 3300 block of Runway Avenue. Eau Claire Police Officers responded to a call of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, they found a three-year-old child that had been assaulted by Damian Stauffer. Stauffer had had fled on foot before police arrived.
Stauffer was eventually located by an Eau Claire Officer. Upon contact, Stauffer and began beating the officer, repeatedly punching him in the face and about his body. The officer deployed his taser but it did not affect Stauffer, who continued to assault the Officer.
Damian Stauffer then stole a patrol car, took off at a high rate of speed, crashed it into multiple vehicles, and barricaded himself in the squad car.
When negotiations fell through, Stauffer was pepper-sprayed through a broken window. He then got out of the vehicle and was hit by bean bag rounds from Eau Claire Officers. Stauffer was then taken into custody.
Stauffer was transported to a local hospital for treatment and remains hospitalized.
The injured Eau Claire Officer, who was not named, was also taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released. Police said it was expected that the child would be treated and released as well.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured Eau Claire Police Officer. Hopefully the scumbag Damian Stauffer will spend a very long time in prison where he can’t harm anybody else.
