OFFICERS FROM SAN FRANCISCO RESPOND TO AN ATTACK AGAINST LOCAL SUBWAY EMPLOYEES BY A MAN WIELDING A KNIFE, AND ARE FORCED TO SHOOT HIM.
Nicholas Flusche, 26, from San Francisco, California, attacked a Subway employee with a knife on the morning of May 3, 2017. When officers responded, the situation was already well out of hand with Flusche behind the counter attacking an already bleeding employee of the sandwich shop. They turned on their body worn camera systems, and tried to defuse the situation.
Ultimately, Officer Kenneth Cha was forced to fatally shoot Flusche, who was still pursuing and actively attacking the employee with his knife. Flusche was killed, and pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
The dispute was over Flusche refusing to pay for a sandwich that was made by the employee he attacked. The employee was rushed to the hospital, where he was treated for stab wounds to his head. Officer Cha was involved in both of the officer involved shooting in San Francisco that happened this year, raising concerns in the community about the officers conduct. There is an on-going investigation into the situation because of this.
In my opinion, the shooting was fully justified. Officer Cha did what he had to do in order to preserve and protect the lives of the innocent civilians around him. There should be no investigation. The video makes this a clear cut case.

Seriously, people are questioning the legitimacy of this officer involved shooting? The guy was actively stabbing a subway employee, it’s clear as day in the video. ~Josh
